Greg Packer

As Waystar’s legal and corporate governance leader, Greg Packer ensures compliance and strategic oversight across all legal matters. Before joining Waystar, he served as Chief Legal Officer at Ancestry, where he led a global team of over 20 attorneys and legal professionals, overseeing all legal matters of the company globally. He also served on the boards of multiple Ancestry brands and subsidiaries.

Greg brings extensive experience as General Counsel for both publicly traded and private equity-backed companies across multiple industries. Prior to these roles, he practiced corporate and securities law at Latham & Watkins LLP, advising public and private companies as well as private equity sponsors on a range of transactions. His work included company formation, mergers and acquisitions, and raising capital through equity and debt markets via private and public offerings, including initial public offerings.

Greg is a graduate of the University of Chicago Law School, where he was a Lowenstein Scholar. Prior to attending law school, Greg obtained both Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in accounting from Brigham Young University, where he was a G. Roger Victor Scholar.
